So this has been an interesting week, to say the least.
Monday, Scott and I went to mom and dad's because Josh was in and we wanted to hang out with him. We all sat down to a game of Trivial Pursiut 20th anniversary edition and Scott, Josh and myself were well on our way to beating mom and dad. Then Brad and Zack came over and we called it quits and hung out with them for a while.
Tuesday evening, after we ran some errands, we went to Jamie and Shannon's and played Canasta. That was fun! We're trying to prepare for the game when all of his family is in at Christmas.
Wednesday evening we went to Madison and had dinner with Kelly and Joe at PeKing and then went to their house. It's not finished just yet but it's well on it's way and it looks soooo good! I love it! They have painted the kitchen this lovely red and I just think it's grand. Oh, I just love it.
All day Thursday and a bit of yesterday, I was at the hospital with mom. That was the not so fun part of my week but at least it has a good ending.
I was in the shower Thursday morning and Scott came in and told me they were taking mom to the hospital because they thought she was having a stroke. I jumped out of the shower and threw my gown on and was crying instantly. While I was trying to grab some clothes, scott was laughing and trying to dry off bits of exposed skin b/c I hadn't even dried off really. I called the jail to find out what happened and they were just getting ready to leave with her in the ambulance. I met them at the hospital, talked with the nurse in the ER to get her checked in and went back to see her. Sarah (the nurse at the jail that was taking care of her) said that her blood pressure was 190/110, her right side was weak, her speech was slurred, she was having chest pains and her fingernails were blue. Not good. They ended up giving her three nitro before she even made it to the hospital. They gave her morphine and aspirin at the hospital and that didn't help much so they gave her a really strong pain killer on top of the morphine. Needless to say, she was on her ass the rest of the day, drifiting in and out of sleep. We stayed at the hospital until around 7 pm that evening and I came home and passed out. They kept her overnight and Friday morning when we got there they were doing a stress test on her. So, at first they thought she was having a stroke, then they thought she was having a heart attack and yesterday afternoon she was discharged. Lol. All of her tests came back with good results and they think that what really happened was that she pulled a muscle in her chest and that muscle was going into spasms...which is extremely painfu...I'm pretty sure I blogged about that happening to my neck a few weeks ago. It was horrible. So, she's okay and getting rest and tonight she and Scott's mom are driving over here to meet us after work and we're all going to watch the Nutcracker ballet!
Yay! I can't wait. I've never seen a ballet before and I think i'm really going to enjoy this. :)
OMG! I think Robert DeNiro (sp?) just walked by the office. Lol. The guy looked just like him! Wow. Hehe.
Well, I'm gonna go for now since I'm at work. I'll catch you peeps later.
*hugs and giggles*
Peace out! ;)
